Richard Milroy

Founder & Executive Director


Richard is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Private Wealth Network, and also founded several other specialist events and publishing companies in the areas of wealth management and sustainability. Starting his career at the International Herald Tribune in Paris, he then moved into specialist trade publishing and investment conferences based in London and now Sydney.Richard’s vision is to form knowledge networks where people connect face-to-face at events, then continue their relationships through online platforms. His focus is to assist members to share and gain new knowledge and understanding, and hopefully to inspire them too.

Richard holds a BA (Hons) in European Political Science with Modern Languages, from Newcastle upon Tyne University, UK.

Alan Duncan

Founder & Executive Director

Alan is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Private Wealth Network, having previously founded and run an events and media business catering to high-end corporate and private clients.He spent some years working for The Economist Group in Japan, Europe, the Middle East and Africa facilitating government and industry dialogues. Alan provided commentary on economic and business matters as well as running conference, research and corporate membership businesses.He holds an Executive MBA from the Philadelphia based Temple University (Tokyo Campus) and a Bachelor of Arts from Newcastle University, Australia. Alan is Chair of Impact100 Sydney, a community-based collective giving program.

Neil Rapley

Senior Head of Membership


Neil has had a long and eventful career covering all levels of management, leadership as well as business ownership. Following a short career in the British Armed Forces, Neil has since worked in a range of industry sectors including Defence, Engineering, Human Capital and Education, developing a diverse skill set along the way.

He emigrated to Australia from the UK in 2003 following the sale of his consulting practice.

Neil has been Managing Director, The CEO Institute  for 5 years where he led powerful peer to peer business networks with over 1,000 members across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.

Valuing straightforward communication, teamwork and self-learning, Neil’s aim has always been to inspire, be inspired and empower others to achieve their potential.

Shabnam Pourbozorgi

Head, People, Culture & Systems


Shabnam supports businesses to build the right culture with strategy and planning and building loyal and productive teams. She is known for her ability to step in and get things done which is driven by a desire to provide exceptional value with an insatiable curiosity around acquiring new skills and being completely engaged when taking on new challenges. Shabnam plays a pivotal part in growth and sustained success in an intensely competitive and transactional market.
With diverse industry and functional expertise and with experience being a member of the Executive Team, with accountability for EBIT results her focus has been to drive sales results and national, mission-critical initiatives such as M&A’s while managing day to day operations.
This includes managing sales, people, and HR related issues as well as critical business decisions such as business continuity planning, safety and risk management.

Lisa Rothfield-Kirschner

Membership Director – Victoria and South Australia


Lisa has had the cross-cultural experience of being raised in Fiji, Southern Africa, Israel as well as Australia and has always enjoyed building positive relationships with a wide variety of people. This passion for people and helping to meet their needs has underpinned her sales, events and marketing success across the technology sector, not-for-profit and boutique alcohol industry.

Lisa has a passion for building rapport with clients and a flair for creating and maintaining relationships. Most recently, Lisa has focused on tackling the issue of children’s online safety. She has authored an Amazon best-selling children’s book, ‘How We Got Cyber Smart’, to help parents, caregivers and educators of primary school-aged children start the conversation about staying safe online.

Lisa also contributes to ‘Women in Security’ magazine and online safety platforms. She was nominated for the unsung hero award for the Australian Women in Security Awards.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Hospitality Management.

Lyn Hawkins

Membership Director – Western Australia


Lyn has expertise in strategy, marketing and business development with a career that spans over 25 years. She is experienced as a trusted adviser and coach to start-ups, family businesses, private entities and works with leaders in professional services, technology, medical and engineering sectors. Lyn has held board Directorships and senior executive roles at KPMG, Telstra, HHG Legal and HLB Mann Judd.

Lyn has a Bachelor of Commerce (UWA) with double Majors in Strategic management and Marketing.  She has also lectured in consumer behaviour and strategic marketing. Lyn is a certified Business and Personal Coach, Founder of membership body,“Business Women Australia”, a founding member of The University Club (UWA) as well a Career Mentor for students at UWA.

Dorothy Huang

Membership Director – New South Wales


Dorothy has experience working as a financial adviser in Singapore for 5 years. Dorothy was born in Singapore and raised in Perth.
Dorothy’s studies were originally in nursing and fashion design which led her to work in a variety of different industries.
During her time as a financial advisor in Singapore, no matter where she travelled her passion was always to connect and communicate with people from all walks of life. 

Samantha Ng

Membership Director – New Zealand


Sam is an experienced relationship manager with capital markets, retail banking, trade finance and executive search capabilities. Sam enjoys introducing and connecting with people. She has project management and start-up experience. She has led system improvement projects, increasing client transaction volumes and productivity through a solution-focused approach to process automation. Her broad exposure in these industries has provided her with a holistic overview of the financial services landscape.

Sam holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance, University of Otago.

Martine Fernandez

Membership Director – New Zealand


Martine brings a wealth of experience over 10 years working within membership organisations both in New Zealand and globally.  She was with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) for a number of years before working at The CEO Institute where she was Membership Director for New Zealand. Martine then went on to become General Manager, Weave Group, a community of select business leaders in New Zealand.

Jayne Hunt

Membership Manager – Victoria and South Australia


Jayne has over 20 years experience working in international trade and export. She is originally from the UK and has lived and worked in France, Spain, Belgium and Mexico.Jayne has run her own food and drink export consultancy which has involved extensive global travel undertaking international projects with influential stakeholders.Jayne has a wealth of experience in developing and maintaining relationships and collaborative partnerships globally for both public sector and private sector clients. Jayne was awarded the British Business Network Award for Victoria for support to the UK’s Department for International Trade.

Jayne is passionate about philanthropic work and is on the Management Committee of the not-for-profit organisation, Haemochromatosis Australia which has members Australia wide.Jayne is fluent in French and Spanish.

She holds an MA(Hons) in Interpreting and Translating (French and Spanish) from Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh, UK.

Kristen Ellard

Membership Manager – Victoria 


Kristen is an experienced Global Senior Account Manager and Luxury Events Specialist. She has over 12 years experience in Motorsport and Luxury Events industry with a strong background in partnerships, strategic planning and creating unique experiences.

Kristen has been a Chapter Manager for Young President’s Organisation (YPO)

​In addition, she worked in Monaco for Amber Lounge, a luxury global events company specialising in events in Monaco, Singapore and Abu Dhabi.  Prior, Kirsten worked in London for Right Formula Sports Marketing as Senior Account Manager for the Hilton Hotels sponsorship with McLaren Formula One Racing team. This position was a global role managing activations around the world at various Hilton locations over Formula One race weekends.

Melissa Humphries

Membership Manager – Western Australia, Victoria & South Australia


Melissa enjoys maintaining meaningful working relationships with a  passion for high-end event management and business administration. Having grown up in country Western Australia, Melissa has diverse professional experience in supporting teams through improvement initiatives.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Business Management, Swinburne University.

Sarah Shephard

Membership Manager – New South Wales and Queensland


Sarah has over five years of experience in the events industry and is very passionate about events. Sarah considers herself very organised, friendly, down to earth and aims to provide PWN members with an exciting and meaningful experience at the events being held.

Sarah holds a Diploma in Event Management from University of Newcastle.

Sandra Duncan

International Insight Tours Manager


Sandra’s career spans a variety of industries including luxury brands, tertiary education, travel and  stint at the United Nations prior to joining PWN as a founding team member. Having lived on 5 continents her experience covers team leadership, marketing, brand management, finance, accounting, IT and HR. Sandra has been applying her love for travel and logistics with attention to detail to deliver amazing PWN Insight Tours, since their introduction in 2016, alongside her role as Finance & HR Manager.

Sandra holds a degree in Economics from Temple University, Japan.

Sita Bala

Brand Communications Manager

Sita has held a number of senior communications positions, including many years as Press Officer at Chatham House in London working on events, conferences and media calls with visiting Prime Ministers, Presidents and international dignitaries. Sita was also Head of Corporate Communications & Media Relations at the Sydney Opera House for five years. Along with being spokesperson, she delivered communications campaigns for major events including, Millennium New Year and Sydney 2000 Olympics, opening of The Studio venue and re-engagement of architect Jorn Utzon to work on design principles for the building. Sita has also been a Publishing Editor for the Commonwealth Secretariat. Sita has worked on brand and communications campaigns for many organisations and events under Sita Bala Communications.

She holds a BA Hons. in Political Science & Film Studies from Newcastle upon Tyne University, UK and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from City, London University.

Cheryl Samarasinghe

Programming Manager


Cheryl is an experienced Event and Content Producer and has worked across a number of industries including financial services, insurance, real estate, ecommerce, professional services and broader corporate sustainability. She also brings a diverse skill set having worked in roles from Production, Event Management to Sponsorship Sales and Marketing Strategy.

Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Hons focused in American/United States Studies/Civilization from King’s College London.

Annik Petrou

Membership Experience Manager


Annik has a varied background particularly in Learning & Development and Training. Annik previously ran a speaker training company helping people to use their voice for good that took her to places in Europe and Africa. She has also worked at a speakers bureau with entrepreneurs and business owners. Annik has worked on increasing the representation of female speakers on international stages. In addition, Annik worked for Rare Birds, a social impact business advancing individuals and businesses through mentoring and education.

Annik holds a degree in Marketing & Communication and a BSc (Hons) in Environmental Science, Social Geography & International Development from University of London.

Gee Lee

Membership & Events Administrator

Gee has extensive membership organisation experience. This includes working for a non-for-profit member association that supports professional athletes with their off-field career and development including sponsorship, media, marketing and player welfare. She was involved in the introduction of the The Rugby Union Players’ Association (RUPA) Foundation and social responsibility program as well as organising various charity events. Gee is also a Volunteer Lifeguard and Nippers Age Manager.

Gee holds an Associate Diploma in Business, Travel and Tourism from the University of Wollongong.

Elizabeth Court



Elizabeth has over 20 years of experience within the finance and banking sectors, starting her career with the ANZ Bank in its Perth Treasury in 1991. In 1993 she moved to Sydney with ANZ as a Treasury Consultant and has since held senior positions within bank and corporate treasuries. 

Over recent times Elizabeth has been a business consultant and has facilitated and implemented strategic plans for a number of Perth based SME’s. Elizabeth is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and sits on the board of a number of not-for-profits. 

Elizabeth has a keen interest in demographic studies and Futurism. She holds a Bachelor of Economics from Murdoch University.

Louisa Scott



Louisa holds more than 10 years in management, research, marketing, corporate relations and investor education with the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and a major South Australian stockbroking firm.Since then her work has been primarily as a board member in the health space, most recently serving on the national Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, as well as chairing their Finance and Governance Committee.

A graduate of the AICD’s Company Directors Course, Louisa has also been involved in promoting South Australia’s tourism regions, supports a number of philanthropic endeavors such as Impact100 and the Art Gallery of South Australia. Louisa holds an Arts degree in Psychology and English from University of Adelaide, Australia and post-graduate qualifications in Applied Finance and Investment from Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
