Alan Duncan

Founder & Executive Director

Alan is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Private Wealth Network, having previously founded and run an events and media business catering to high-end corporate and private clients.He spent some years working for The Economist Group in Japan, Europe, the Middle East and Africa facilitating government and industry dialogues. Alan provided commentary on economic and business matters as well as running conference, research and corporate membership businesses.He holds an Executive MBA from the Philadelphia based Temple University (Tokyo Campus) and a Bachelor of Arts from Newcastle University, Australia. Alan is Chair of Impact100 Sydney, a community-based collective giving program.

Richard Milroy

Founder & Executive Director


Richard is a Co-Founder and Executive Director of Private Wealth Network, and also founded several other specialist events and publishing companies in the areas of wealth management and sustainability. Starting his career at the International Herald Tribune in Paris, he then moved into specialist trade publishing and investment conferences based in London and now Sydney.Richard’s vision is to form knowledge networks where people connect face-to-face at events, then continue their relationships through online platforms. His focus is to assist members to share and gain new knowledge and understanding, and hopefully to inspire them too.

Richard holds a BA (Hons) in European Political Science with Modern Languages, from Newcastle upon Tyne University, UK.

Sandra Duncan

Finance and International Insight Tour Event Manager


Sandra has worked in the telecommunications, education, an International UN-related agency and luxury brand industries in marketing communications, accounting, events and conferences. Sandra is Japanese-Brazilian, born and raised in the Amazon region in Brazil.Sandra has a love of languages and multiculturalism, which developed over the years from her experiences growing up in Brazil, to going to university in California and Tokyo, living in Japan, Vienna-Austria and now Australia. She is also interested in globalization vs tribalism, sustainability, human behavior, travel and global rhythms.

Sandra holds a degree in Economics from Temple University, Japan.

Sita Bala

Brand Communications

Sita has held a number of senior communications positions, including many years as Press Officer at Chatham House in London working on events, conferences and media conferences with visiting Prime Ministers, Presidents and international dignitaries. Sita was also Head of Corporate Communications & Media Relations at the Sydney Opera House for five years. She delivered communications campaigns for major events including, Millennium New Year and Sydney 2000 Olympics, opening of The Studio venue and re-engagement of architect Jorn Utzon to work on design principles for the building.Sita has worked as a Publishing Editor for the Commonwealth Secretariat. Also, on communications campaigns for conferences and events for her own clients through Sita Bala Communications.

She holds a BA Hons. in Political Science & Film Studies from Newcastle upon Tyne University, UK and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from City, London University.

Demi Markogiannaki

Membership Director – Victoria


Dimitra “Demi” Markogiannaki was born and raised in Athens. Eleven years ago, she arrived in Australia for her postgraduate studies. While studying and with the motivation of those closest to her, Demi developed the website WeTeachMe – an online marketplace to list, discover and book in-person courses. The site lists courses covering a wide range of subjects – from creative writing, photography, baking to software development, sustainable gardening and music. WeTeachMe has completely automated the entire process of managing course bookings.

Demi has been included twice on the list of ‘Most Successful Business Women under 40’ in Australia. In 2018, her name was among the 100 women who according to the Financial Review have the greatest influence in the country.

Elizabeth Court

Membership Director – Western Australia


Elizabeth has over 20 years of experience within the finance and banking sectors, starting her career with the ANZ Bank in its Perth Treasury in 1991. In 1993 she moved to Sydney with ANZ as a Treasury Consultant and has since held senior positions within bank and corporate treasuries. Over recent times Elizabeth has been a business consultant and has facilitated and implemented strategic plans for a number of Perth based SMEs. Libby is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and sits on the board of a number of not-for-profits.

Elizabeth has a keen interest in demographic studies and Futurism. She holds a Bachelor of Economics from Murdoch University, Australia.

Kim McWilliams

Membership Director – New Zealand


With over 25 years of experience in the fields of Philanthropy, Public Relations, Marketing, and having owned her own retail business, Kim has a very broad outlook on life and varied life experience.

Kim joins PWN from her role as Executive Director for the Auckland Medical Research Foundation, but will remain very committed to the cause after nearly seven exciting years. During this time she also served on the Board of Philanthropy NZ as Deputy Chair, so brings considerable expertise in this area.

With a Bachelor of Arts in Japanese, Korean and Education, she has travelled and worked overseas, and run the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs education and cultural programmes for New Zealand.

She has also managed the Westpac Sponsorship Team and Portfolio, and the AMP Group Sponsorship Team and Foundation for many years.

Angela Jones

Membership Director – New South Wales, Queensland & South Australia


Angela is a member relationship specialist with extensive experience across numerous industries specialising in building trust-based, credible relationships with executives. Her experience spans working with financial planners during her time managing the Financial Planning Association’s Secretariat in WA and with ING (now ANZ) as the Sales Operations Manager for WA and NSW.

Angela then joined the privately owned business CEO Forum that specialised in peer groups for CEOs, CFOs and HRDs which involved conducting in depth research and gaining insights through a cadence of meetings enabling a deep understanding of client business priorities, so as to provide a bespoke service and build a customised engagement plan.

Most recently Angela worked with a group of over 100 members at CEDA which is responsible for engaging with members to identify policy issues that matter for Australia’s future and pursue solutions that deliver better economic and social outcomes for the greater good.

Monique Meinrath

Operations Director

Monique is Operations Director, Private Wealth Network with niche expertise in building and nurturing high-value membership organisations. She has a strong background engaging influential leaders including CEOs of globally listed businesses, local and overseas government ministers and HNW individuals. Monique understands the complexities associated with competing stakeholder interests whilst remaining outcome focussed and results-driven.With a degree in Management majoring in Marketing from Bond University Australia, she brings business acumen as well as a natural ability to develop meaningful relationships with members to facilitate their business and personal objectives.

Clair Perry

Communications Manager


Clair is Communications Manager at the Private Wealth Network, working in event preparation, operations and communications. Clair aims to provide PWN Members with a seamless registration system and flow of communication.

Clair loves to travel and experiencing new cultures which are reflected in her past experience as a Travel Agent. Clair’s past experience along with PWN’s events has focused Clair’s interests on health and wellbeing, the environment, philanthropy and dance.

Clair holds a Bachelor of Business and Commerce Marketing, with a major in Management, University of Western Sydney, Australia.

Amanda Osborne

Membership Manager – Western Australia

Amanda started her career as a CPA working in the area of taxation and then moved to working as a management accountant in the area of financial services. She then transferred over to the UK to work for Shell International in the field of business intelligence and implemented a management information system across the UK and European businesses. Since returning to Australia, Amanda has worked in the area of corporate compliance and has also been involved in her family business which provides accounting practice management software to both Australia and the UK. Amanda has a keen interest in Autism, mental health and inclusion and has managed a multidisciplinary team in the disability sector. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Murdoch University, Western Australia.

Cheryl Samarasinghe

Programming Manager


Cheryl is an experienced Event and Content Producer and has worked across a number of industries including financial services, insurance, real estate, ecommerce, professional services and broader corporate sustainability. She also brings a diverse skill set having worked in roles from Production, Event Management to Sponsorship Sales and Marketing Strategy. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Hons focused in American/United States Studies/Civilization from King’s College London.

Louisa Scott



Louisa holds more than 10 years in management, research, marketing, corporate relations and investor education with the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) and a major South Australian stockbroking firm.Since then her work has been primarily as a board member in the health space, most recently serving on the national Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, as well as chairing their Finance and Governance Committee.

A graduate of the AICD’s Company Directors Course, Louisa has also been involved in promoting South Australia’s tourism regions, supports a number of philanthropic endeavors such as Impact100 and the Art Gallery of South Australia. Louisa holds an Arts degree in Psychology and English from University of Adelaide, Australia and post-graduate qualifications in Applied Finance and Investment from Financial Services Institute of Australasia.

Lisa Rothfield-Kirschner

Membership Manager, Victoria


Lisa has had the cross-cultural experience of being raised in Fiji, Southern Africa, Israel as well as Australia and has always enjoyed building positive relationships with a wide variety of people. This passion for people and helping to meet their needs has underpinned her sales, events and marketing success across the technology sector, not-for-profit and boutique alcohol industry.

Lisa has a passion for building rapport with clients and a flair for creating and maintaining relationships. Most recently, Lisa has focused on tackling the issue of children’s online safety. She has authored an Amazon best-selling children’s book, ‘How We Got Cyber Smart’, to help parents, caregivers and educators of primary school-aged children start the conversation about staying safe online.

Lisa also contributes to ‘Women in Security’ magazine and online safety platforms. She was nominated for the unsung hero award for the Australian Women in Security Awards.

Lisa holds a Bachelor of Business majoring in Hospitality Management.

Xanthe Baker

Events and Membership Assistant


Xanthe is Events & Membership Assistant working in membership and event preparation. Xanthe aims to assist PWN Members with a seamless registration system and answer any of their queries about activities.

Xanthe is passionate about events and holds a Bachelor of Tourism Management, University of Western Sydney.

Maureen Mracek

Membership Manager, Victoria


Maureen has strong organisational, communication, account and relationship management experience learnt through the delivery of exceptional member service.

Maureen’s most recent role was Account Manager, CEO Forum Group where she managed relationships for International CFO and HRD Forums with responsibility for member engagement and retention. Maureen managed and guided CFOs and HR Directors through their membership lifecycle ensuring high engagement.

Maureen holds a Bachelor of Business Studies, Institute of Technology, Sligo, Ireland.

Shakiya Phillips

Programming and Content Assistant


Shakiya works to support the event delivery process at PWN. Previously she has experience working in sales, marketing and monetary control. She is passionate about social impact and community development with volunteer and project-based experience in social enterprise and at-risk community outreach programs.

Shakiya is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce at University of Sydney, majoring in International Business and Philosophy, with an emphasis on social enterprise and ethics.

Laura Lambert

Administrative Assistant


Laura is currently a Finance and Politics student at the University of Sydney, interested in the role that private wealth holders play as a force for positive change. Laura is currently PWN’s Administrative Assistant and Assistant to the NSW & QLD Membership Director. She has spent a year working in an eco-tech startup, based in Philadelphia USA, which crafts high-performance materials from CBD oil. Laura is half Korean and on a mission to reconnect with her heritage, by slowly learning the language and culture.
